Many at times we find ourselves disobeying the will of God. Lets look into 4 categories why Christians disobey the will of God.
- We disobey because we acquire knowledge without understanding. We act on what we know and what we think is right. Matt 13:10-13, Eccl 1:18, Prov 18:2
- We acquire knowledge without the fear of God. We know it but do not care to do it. Living in stubbornness and in a rebellious life. 1Sam15:20-23
- Over familiar with the word of God. We grow up knowing the word and the pastors; thereby getting too familiar that we really do not feel His presence in His word. Reading the letters and neglecting the spirit in the letters. Taking God's word for granted. Matt 21: 28-31
- Uncommon pressures of every day life. Neglecting seeking His kingdom first but rather seeking other things. Comparing the life of unbelievers and seeking to go by short cut to make end means. Prov 1;11-15
- Common battle between the flesh and the spirit. Of course, the flesh wars against the spirit. Many at times, we prefer to fulfill the desires of the flesh such as anger than forgiveness which is of the spirit. Gal 5:16-17
